broccoli assault
spudlet had a great tale of broccoli woes. this was too good not to share.

Yesterday in the cafeteria I was walking by the food line to get a soda. The special of the day was loaded baked potatoes, any toppings you desire. Among those toppings I spotted a very fresh looking batch of broccoli. I requested a side of broccoli only, no cheese. The guy gives me a smirk and proceeds to smother the brocctastic veggie in evil cheese sauce! Deliberate broccoli assault! Premeditated produce murder by drowning! Remain calm, I told myself. He wants to see your reaction, don't give him what he wants! I ask him calmly to give me broccoli without cheese. He sneers at me and makes a halfass attempt to scrape the cheese off the victimized vegetable. I shake my head at him, and he finally gives me a new plate of broccoli. Upon consumption, it was as tasty as it looked. However, I cannot help but ponder the tragic loss of the discarded, innocent broccoli. Sad times we live in, sad times indeed.
